DHCP Hotfix

I did a quick search and haven't seen it mentioned here.

 

Just a heads up, if you have two R2 DHCP servers in a split scope configuration, you'll need to install this hotfix;

 

KB981776 - Reservations are deleted incorrectly from a DHCP server that is running Windows Server 2008 R2

(Can't post a link as I'm too new)

 

Now I have it installed, I better go and recreate all my deleted reservations.....

Does anyone still have this patch? Windows6.1-KB981776-x64.msu? Microsoft seems to have pulled it from the website. Thanks.

At this point the patch you need to be installing is an OS update...

Indeed that is the plan. Just wanted to see if it would quick fix a printer IP issue in the mean time though!

This should have been part of R2 Service Pack 1. So I would make sure that is installed first.

Of course, there is only 314 days left until Windows 2008 R2 is out of support.
