Not all confidence lost in my teachers

Just had to share this, I nearly fell off my chair.

 

Sometime before Christmas I annouonced to HoDs in a meeting that USB memory thingys used by staff were going to need to be encrypted, knowing full well it would go in one ear and out the other, but I had agreed this a while back with my line manager (DH).

 

Anyway, this afternoon my Head of Science comes to my office with 16 new USB sticks and asks for them to be encrypted!

I set up an encrypted key for each member of staff at one of my schools. 2 of them have been used.

The brain cell is obviously at your school this week... I had the "our projector bulb has blown" problem reported by a panicky TA this morning. The projector was turned off at the mains switch on the wall like it is every holiday * sigh * The teacher had managed to turn on the other 5 wall sockets to get the PC and IWB going, but '"didn't know" the projector could be turned off. the sockets are all next to each other!
