Alpha2x Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Hi Guys, I've been looking into TC for a while however there are a few things that I'm still not sure about, so where better to find out but from those who use TC in education. My first concern is how many virtual environments could a server with say dual Intel Xeon X5650, 6C, 2.66Ghz and 48GB DDR3 1066MHz memory handle, based on light usage, internet, word processing and occasionally something a little more taxing like something out of the Adobe Creative Suite? More questions to follow...

imiddleton25 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 running xp we give xendesktop 800mb and thats fine so 50 clients with that much Ram with windows 7 need 1 1/2 gb so only 28 clients Ram is the thing you need lots of and NIC's we have 4 but soon going to 8 also we have 75gb Ram soon to go to 144Gb
