robk Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Can anyone confirm the polarity of the Activeboard power supply. I have two here that someone's cut the low voltage cable! I can safely repair but I suspect the board will not like the supply reversed. Many thanks

You can purchase them via the Promethean Planet Shop and dependant on you model will be no more than £30 Power Supplies

Repairing the low voltage cable would be perfectly safe so I'm a bit dissapointed that Promethean are trying to scaremonger into buying a replacement psu. Anyway £30 for a fixed voltage psu flipping eck that's a rip off. Ben

I hold a degree in electrical engineering so understand the risks and how to mitigate them. More practically we can`t place orders at the moment so would not be able to order the new PSUs till April at the earliest. All I really need to know is is the connector center +ve or -ve.
