Help- I'm an idiot! I connected to network and now cannot disconnect!

I am currently setting up new staff standalone laptops and have created a shortcut on their desktop that connects to their network share. I put in my log in credentials and then clicked remember these settings.

 

Now every time I log on it remembers my log in BUT I want to disconnect that but don't now know how.

do net use \\server\share /delete should delete any trace of it doing it as you I think and prompt for user/pass

...or just right click on the share and click 'Disconnect'...

Create a shortcut with this:

 

%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe keymgr.dll,KRShowKeyMgr

 

Shows all stored credentials and you can delete as necessary.

net use * /delete /yes

If you're using a later version of Windows try going to Control Panel\Credential Manager - you may find it's stored in there. If it is, just delete it.

Didn't have that option on the Windows 7 client!

isnt there an option under control pannel user accounts (or whatever its now called) to show cached credentials/saved passwords etc

Yep, on Windows 7 it's under User Accounts, then Manage your credentials.
