johnnyr Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Hi Everyone, OK I have installed the Edugeek Joomla - looks very good but it does not appear to have a menu... How can I add a menu? I would like the menu to be near to the top where the school logo will be - someone has showed me an example of where it should be (over to the right of the page) it would be excellent...how can I get it to show please? EduTech Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Hi, The Menu should of been installed and activated as it is included in the EduJoomla Package. Go to Extensions > Module Manager > Main Menu Just see if that is installed as it is the module which is used for the Top Right hand menu. Did you download the EduJoomla package from here: EduGeek Projects ? and did you install that joomla package or/ install joomla and just add the template? James.

I have logged in and went to the extensions etc. The main menu is there...now in the enabled column there are no ticks or anything but if I click on the main menu it does say its enabled but still doesn't show on the site... Johnathon Then i can only assume it's to do with the browser or/ settings in which you are using. Out of curiosity which browser are you using? and have you tried resetting to factory defaults settings or using an alternative browser. James.

Hi James, Yep tried all of that but no luck...where hosting with one although I don't see that been to much of a problem?
speckytecky Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 As EdTech says it's Go to Extensions > Module Manager > Main Menu then it's a question of changing the Position in the Details box: mine says Position: TopMenu but on my test site it's position 3. It's a case of trying each one till the menu pops up where you want it.

EduTech Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 If you don't see the menu on the project website or any other EduJoomla website then i can only assume that is something to do with your client browser or/ settings. Do you have a link to your website and i can see if it works for myself then. James.

greenk Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I've used levellr3r's script to overcome the problem of missing menus - it works (thanks) but the next day the menus have disappeared again. Running the script again makes them re-appear. How do I get them to stay permanently?
