It seems Yahoo have been taking lessons from the BBC in accurate, checked news reports. The sample does not contain plutonium - that would be an epically stupid idea, as it's radioactive so it's mass will change over time. Gah.

So just weigh the cylinder plus a small grain of sand, job done
