TheScarfedOne Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Yeah so had I. It was a worse mental image when he then turned it round. Ben Oh god - i had too. That had us in stitches for ages! He had absolutely no idea what we were laughing at, and then made it worse by "moving" the bad to a more inappropriate place. Who at D-Link came up with that?? Legend. We need a photo of the bag someone - some member who got one, please let us know so we can share with everyone.
Dos_Box Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 Oh, BTW, I just visited that site who's company dissed SmoothWall and Kaspersky threw up a dodgy URL warning 3
featured_spectre Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Google chrome also says its a site not to visit and continue at your own risk! lol 1

EduTech Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Thanks Guys! I had a fantastic time and really did enjoy myself once again! I have not had a bad time at any event in which EduGeek holds or is apart off, great to see another event come to a successful close! Once again it was great to meet up with everyone whom knows me! and also put some new faces to names! I did not get wrapped up in cling film this year! but to be honest i am not sure if i am glad or gutted! it was quite a fun expirience last year! aha!, The Smoothwall Firing Range was bang on! I did struggle as it's not as easy as it looked! but had some great fun! Friday Evening was great! I learned a bit of (something) and also how much everyone really disliked me after i get given to expensive round full of Cocktails and the like! and no matter how hard i tried to get Oz Drunk (Double JD's etc on the Rocks) he was not budging! I was sad that i could not attend the meal on saturday, due to my train being a bit earlier and not allowing me to have enough time, but i am sure i'll be at the next meal! Cheers Guys! James.
Aggy Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Thank you very much for all your kindness and fantastic support, as I have mentioned earlier it has been real pleasure seeing you all!!

Edu-IT Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) A certain stand that we all ended up taking detours around because of rather ‘enthusiastic’ staff. Oh go on, name! John for the trolley tips Laptop? Hope he said don't bother. Edited January 17, 2011 by Edu-IT

CAM Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 It was a great event. Loved it and looking forwards to the conference in summer. Yays: - Seeing many familiar faces from the conference - Food at that restaurant was awesome - Meeting new Edugeekers, expecially Vikpaw and Sarconia. - Posting "Off to BETT2011!" on Twitter and getting a reply from a friend "OMG You are kidding? I'm going too!" We ended up having lunch. - Freebies! - Watching a guy in a rush stack it at the train station, hehe. Pros: - Signal failure at Selhurst on the way up - Enthusiastic stand making me late for pizza - Food costs! £8.40 for a rubbish Falafel wrap and cider! - Couldn't get round everything in time. - Going to the Capita stand first makes you feel you should have brushed up more!

Yay's - Lots of leads :-) - Latte's at the crush bar - Meetings lots of new faces and seeing how the market currently is - putting faces to names in terms of current customers - the reaction of brand spanking new Guardian3 engine - Thursday evening - not a penny spent on alcohol and v pissed! (and seeing Lungers mortal for the first time!) - realising Mikey enjoys bantering Gav as much as us Smoothies - Myself and Mikey's mexican stand off as previously mentioned - Mikey's webcam sounds - brilliant!! - Tom's "this steak is sh1te and the service is now sh1te" rant at the hostess in Black and Blue - Gav, hell of a chap - Wilko's fat/bald-boothing of all Smoothwall staff - this photo: http://tinyurl.com/4posg8n - Pizza express as ever - The sale at the stand across from ours on the Saturday - Xface - sifting through a whole black bin liner of redundant Crussh sarnies to find the one and only chicken cesar in there!! and just the general banter of the place...roll on 2012 However... Boo's - the death of my legs at 26 - Black and Blue -what has happened to that place?! - An un-named vendors alley tactics - The web filtering company in the gallery saying nasty things...obviously never met us - Melvile logistics for making me miss the 5.30 train on saturday night - Nerf gun reloading - watching Skyline upon my return from the show on late saturday night (sh1te!) - sh1te freebies other than the HP bear which came in handy Edited January 19, 2011 by vikpaw language
