featured_spectre Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 SNR??? You have lost me on that one
elsiegee40 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Dim recollections from the early days of this version of edugeek: Rep points are gained by Thanks and Adding to Reputation. Rep Power (A smaller number and your stars and green blobs) are calculated using some formula involving your Rep points, the length of time you've been an edugeek, the number of posts you've made and the amount of rep/thanks you've dished out....
featured_spectre Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 Does this mean I get rep every 18.1125 posts????
Fatmas Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I just saw that I'm 102nd. Not bad considering the length of time I've been here! :-D
mrbios Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Boo im all the way back on the 5th page, must do more to make it to page 1!
featured_spectre Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 I was shocked to find I am now 9th! haha

featured_spectre Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 It has me! I have rep'd u in quite a few posts
tech_guy Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I'm eighth. I'm shocked. I obviously spend too much time on here and not enough working.
elsiegee40 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 It has me! I have rep'd u in quite a few posts You can thank people many times, but I thought the number of times you could give rep to one person was restricted.
Little-Miss Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 it is...you need to spread the love at times....
Fatmas Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 It stops people having love ins. Although some people are very stingy with thanks/rep, oh well. This place doesn't need to turn into a Reddit esque karma culture.

Fatmas Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 If we did that every thread would start with: **L@@K** SUPER WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE (box). £9.99 BUY IT NOW (£88.00 postage)

AngryTechnician Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 SNR??? You have lost me on that one SNR = Signal to Noise Ratio. Normally used in electronics/communication fields to describe the amount of interference on a line. In this context, your ratio of useful posts to utter nonsense!
featured_spectre Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 I thought that was what you meant! haha. Well I am apparently useful every 18 posts or so!
mrbios Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 SNR = Signal to Noise Ratio. Normally used in electronics/communication fields to describe the amount of interference on a line. In this context, your ratio of useful posts to utter nonsense! Ahhh signal to nonsense ratio, now there is a term i hope to make good use of in an aim to confuse people of other forums
witch Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) I'm 18th - not great, but snugly between two admins so very warm and comfy (s'not fair anyway as most of my cv help is done via pm so I don't get thanks or rep or anything ) Edited January 7, 2011 by witch

Little-Miss Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 lol, most of my posts are questions, not answers!
featured_spectre Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 most of mine are answers, and then answers upon answers
