[android] Desire Camcorder App Problem

My first real fault on my Desire

 

Since just before Christmas, my camcorder app doesn't work

 

I launch it, seem to come up OK - I press centre button to start recording - all on screen icons disappear - no recording indication - just plain camera screen- I can't close the app - have to press home button and then I get a delay before it returns to home screen - if I don't use app killer at this point then main camera app locks up as a weell.

 

But if I use app killer, phone seems OK.

 

Anyone else getting this behaviour>

Have you tried turning it off and on again? (pull the battery)

 

also check memory card for errors or try another card.

 

I think I had something similar and I had to reformat my card, of course I only found this out after doing a factory restore and finding out the problem was still there.

Tried battery remove - no diff

 

Mm - things getting worse - swype won't swype - it will let me type in 1 char at a time but just sits there if I try and swype a word

I had to re-use the swype installer to get make it available as a keyboard again

Spot on

 

I bought a new 8gb card today and copied everything from the old 4gb to it and the camcorder app now works again!
