flexyjerkov Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I need help guys, I've been out of the whole web design circuit for the past few years and I've got into the habit of web design using tables for formatting. Now i'm using stylesheets and div tags and just need someone to give me some help on formatting. What i'm after is: Wrapper (990px wide) ---------- Header (Fixed height) ---------- Links (Fixed height) ---------- Page Section Heading (Fixed height) ---------- Expandable Text Area (Main area for content) ---------- Page Section Footer (Fixed height) Could someone please knock something up for me or at least give me some advice on how to do this as my current attempts have failed when trying to enter multiple "returns" on the Expandable text area. (The image background only duplicates within the tag and creates a gap on the top and bottom as soon as a is visible.) Hope that makes sense...

As far as having it physically uploaded I've not uploaded it yet due to it not working as planned and sadly its on my home laptop. The code itself i'm writing in code view and really only using DW to preview it. It seems to be whenever a is used I get space appearing outside the div tags. I can use fine but to be honest that's just sloppy and I want to be able to format properly on each line.
