DrummerBoy Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 (edited) Please tell the stupid driver in front of me the temperature!! They now know that if it's -6 outside, and you are driving on a motorway, it doesn't matter if your windscreen washers work, don't use them, as -6 plus 60mph windchill will defeat your 'works to -9' washer fluid! And, it also completely buggers up the person behind you (me in this case)!! Edited December 23, 2010 by Dos_Box
adamchapman Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 On the way to work this morning, I followed a guy on a bicycle with shorts and tshirt on! must be mad! it was -1

And, it also completely buggers up the person behind you (me in this case)!! I did that (at low speed) yesterday around the corner from the house. Oh great I though. My washer fluid is defrosted (it's almost neat as well!), jet onto window. Wait 2 seconds. Pull over and re-scrape window.
elsiegee40 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Grey sky, howling wind, +0.8C without wind-chill and snow imminent in West Kent

srochford Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Grey skies in Kensington. Not warm (but not ridiculously cold). Still odd patches of ice and snow (particularly where it's been heaped up when pavements were cleared) Don't know what all the fuss is about :-)

john Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I did that (at low speed) yesterday around the corner from the house. Oh great I though. My washer fluid is defrosted (it's almost neat as well!), jet onto window. Wait 2 seconds. Pull over and re-scrape window. I did that coming out of the car park at work last night blasted coldness, it was only -2 as well when I left work GRRR!!! Its cold here, need to venture to Burnley to do some shopping and maybe get my mop trimmed so will see how cold it is then, but blue skys and sun!

aerospacemango Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Full cloud cover here too! snowy-hail storms throughout the morning....Bitterly cold Suffolk!
sted Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 blue skies with fluffy white clouds(granted quite a lot) 0.4c according to the thermometer by back door Doncaster
michael2k6 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 I've taken to putting concentrate in, undiluted which seems to do the trick. Good for -15, i've not had it freeze over on impact yet. New wiper blades yesterday though and its an expensive way of doing it. Worth it though imo. Blue skies -1 here in Wakefield.
