garethEds Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Evening all, The other week I set my wife's macbook up to automatically connect to the house NAS drive. I cannot remember how I did it. Now I need to turn this off but cannot remember what setting I made. The NAS box has now gone. :-( Any help appreciated. Gareth
ranj Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I think if you go to go, connect to server and depending on what protocol you have setup e.g. afp, nfs or smb you should be able to type smb://ipaddressofnasbox. Try that
rh91uk Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Havent got my mac around, but isn't there a list of "favourite servers" or something? Remove it from there?
garethEds Posted December 18, 2010 Author Posted December 18, 2010 Thanks everyone - found it. It was in the user account settings. Gareth
mac_shinobi Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Did you do something like this : 10.5: Set up Time Machine on a NAS in three easy steps - Mac OS X Hints Not sure if this applies to 10.6 - would be good to know how you achieved this ( time machine backing up to a NAS I presume ) ??
