How do I do a ROM backup?

Once you've rooted and installed CloworkMod Recovery as per the wiki instructions, grab ROM manager from the marketplace, make sit a easy process.

 

I'd recommend backing up the contents of the SD after doing this too (via usb to your desktop is fine)

I know I have an SLCD screen. Does 6.1 support these screens?

it does,

 

however the root process is slightly different due to some hardware/firmware revisions made at the same time, depending on your HBOOT version [ROOT] Method for HBOOT 0.83 (SLCD phones) - xda-developers if yours didn't come with FROYO preinstalled you're probably in luck

note, mine is AMOLED so I haven't tried either of those processes

I downloaded the recent vodaphone upgrade (2.33.161.2.CL284385) and its affected the behaviour of my own app!

 

It seems the voice recognition returns multiple results (e.g for my speedlimit app it just returned 8 guesses for what speedlimit I'd set - like 20 miles per hour/20 mile per hour/20 miles per our etc)

 

So watch out if you using a voice app
