That on certain website, like sky for instance, you can upgrade your account on-line, but if I chose I want to remove a service I have to ring them up. :mad:

Yep. And even though you have stated at the begining of the call what you want, which when you're downgrading is because you're trying to save a bit of dosh, they'll still harp on about offers etc to try and keep you parting with the dosh!

It's good to call though, if you do state you can't afford something and you need a lower price sometimes they'll try to match what you can afford, I've done that with my mobile contract a couple of times.

Totally agree. I was trying to do the same thing on sky the other day and was equally annoyed you couldn't downgrade online.

 

The net result for me is that instead of taking a lower package I'm going to close my account altogether so rather than keep me albeit at a lower price they now lose me totally.
