4 day weekend in April/May

Yup, which will be an extra day off for Support Staff who have to work holidays, but not teaching staff, who will be off anyways! Tee hee hee!

That's right. So if your school is suposed to be teaching on that day, the school will closed for the public holiday.

 

If the day falls outside normal teaching days, i.e. in the holidays, then the school can choose to be closed for teaching on an alternative day. The decision is made by the SLT in conjunction with the Governing Body. From what I'm hearing on the Governors' grapevine, many schools in this position, but not all, are choosing to close a day early for the summer holiday.

i work a total of 5 days in april... as im of to florida at the start of the month for a couple of weeks 56 days to go!!

I'm working for 5.5 days in April.

 

April 1st is the last day of term and we finish at 12 noon. Then I have 3 days to work in the holiday, 2 days of term and then the Royal wedding.

carrying across 4 days i didn't take from this year to the next, bolting those 4 days on the start of my current holiday to give me a nice 17 days off in a row (or which only 7 are actually taken as holiday - 4 in the second week of easter half term and 3 days between the easter weekend and the royal wedding) Plus i just found out as i go over my 5 year mark here in july that i'll be getting something like 4 or 5 more days holiday this year anyway! wohoooooooo
