DLW13 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Hi, I have a networked HP 2015dn printer that has the toner status light as solid amber. I have replaced the toner which didn't make a difference. Any ideas?

DLW13 Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 Turned out it was a third-party toner and not the official HP type. Replacing with a genuine toner resolved the problem.

You're not a HP employee undercover are you, trying to pursuade those of us with compat toners to go HP OEM? It could have been a duff chip (some printers with LCD screens can show the error message associated with bad chips, so I guess those without LCD screens just have a colour combination).
