itgeek Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Hi what do people use for computer inventory?
rh91uk Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Hopefully this thread may help you http://www.edugeek.net/forums/network-classroom-management/65569-open-source-asset-manager-project.html
GREED Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Access into SQL but then I am a freak! Spiceworks is also good free tool.
fedora_explorer Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I'm another one for Spiceworks. It's great. You can inventory your workstations, servers, printers, access points, switches.. You can even check on AV and Licenses
tmcd35 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 We have Spiceworks but that's mostly for the helpdesk. We use it's inventory as a double-check against out main inventory database. I coded something up in PHP and MySQL which works okay for us.
witch Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Excel Can't get spiceworks to see everything - don't know why
FN-GM Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I use this http://www.edugeek.net/forums/scripts/32287-inventory-your-network.html
Edu-IT Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Excel Can't get spiceworks to see everything - don't know why Try scanning set IPs rather than a whole range. Spiceworks here too. 1
