[sims] IEP Writer 3 & Sims.net

Hi

Having trouble with IEP Writer not linking to some information within Sims.net and I can't find much support online.

 

Name, Class Name & Reg Group are linking

However Class/Form Teacher (IEP Writer) isn't linking with Linked Adults (Sims.net)

 

In Sims,

Linked Adults/Agencies, Pastoral we have the registration tutor linked to the student, also have under "other" we have a support teacher linked to the student. All this is done within Linked Adults/Agencies

 

When we open IEP writer the informaiton is blank.

 

Any help would be great.

What version of IEP writer are you using. We had problems until we updated to version 3.8+. We were using 3.7 and data wasn't saving properly. Check your version number and contact Capita for an upgrade.

In IEP Writer got to Tools|Options| Program Options and then put a tick in 'Use Special Captions'. The Teacher's name should now be showing.

I also have compiled a list for our schools of where data should be in SIMS and where it will appear in IEP Writer - I can email this to you if it would be helpful.

If I recall from our days of using IEP writer ... (i stand corrected whether I am wrong) isn't there a SENIEPImport.exe that needs to be imported to every machine too?

Hi there

 

I am having some problems with IEP V3, it has been working fine but now only administrators can access it, I get a message that a software restriction policy has has blocked the app from running. We are running an RM CC3 network and this is only started happening over the last couple of months. It appears to be our network secuity rather than within Sims as if I log in to our school network (administrator) and then run IEP with one of the effected user id's ir works perfectly. Any ideas anyone what could of caused this to stop working.

As requested here is the table matching fields in IEP Writer with the fields in SIMS.net. We use this on our training courses to advise clients where the information should be in SIMS.net in order for IEP Writer fields to be populated.
