Pickman...have you read walking ollie & along came dylan?? they are 2 books by a guy with a rescued saluki lurcher (ollie) he hten decides on getting Dylan a pure bread saluki! I can highley recommend them for a good read a bit of a giggle!!

I think the fact we had cats was the biggest problem - even though our dog now plays with all the cats, and the other night one of them was cuddled up against the dog licking it clean.

 

Well, all but one, but then Katie is a mardy cow, she doesn't really get on with anything.

 

That is just so short sighted - we had a cat at the time and it wasnt deemed a problem. Then again, Smudge had been fostered into a family with a dog, a cat, and small children so they knew he was OK with cats
