Changing Screen Resolution on per-machine basis in AD2008

Hello,

 

We've got RM Successmaker running on our Windows 7 Machines although the activity windows is very small (1/4 of the screen). After contacting RM there is nothing we can do untill end of october(ish) when 1.7.1 is released.

 

I have found a workaround is changing the resolution to 1024x768 is sufficent, although is there an option in Active Directory to do this on a per-machine basis?

Well i don't know of an AD GPO option but perhaps you can play with dccmd.exe

I've used a cmd line program called QRES before also.

Also not exactly what your after but if you have FOG in your school (An imaging program like ghost) you can use that to change the screen resolution.

you can change it through group policy i think and apply the GP to group which you then make a machine a member of.

ive used QRES for RM Snapshot seems to work fine

In the end I used a mixture of shortcuts, batch files and qres. Works surprisingly well.
