Authenticate standalone laptop on a domain in order to print.

I'm open to ideas on this one:

 

A user has a laptop, and it isnt on the domain. The user requires access to print to a network printer...which is shared out by one of the servers. Anyway, when the user logs on their laptop, and they try to print...they get a message pop up saying "access denied". This problem is because the laptop isnt authenticated with the domain/print server.

 

I look a quick look at this today, and as soon as i authenticated the laptop with the server (\\servername) that shared the printers, it printed fine.

 

So, how would you tackle this? I'm told that laotop can't go on the domain...it has to stay standalone.

create an account on the domain that matches the account on the laptop. So if laptop has a user called bob with a password of bob create that on the server

net use \\server\share /user:etc

I arent great a batch script. Would it be cheeky of me to ask if you could give me a full example of the code i'd need to use. Say for example the server is called "server1", the printer is called "printer1", the user account is "jbloggs", and their password is "password1"
