theeldergeek Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 NorCal QRP Club - NorCal Doublet Antenna They refer to it as 'multiwire flat computer cable', but I Googled and I can't find anything like it. Can anyone help?
EdWhittaker Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 email Rob at Cables and Leads, Scart Leads, hdmi cables, VGA, USB, Ethernet Network If he hasn't got one he can probably get one.
Chris_ Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Is this the right sort of cable? Grey IDC 0.05in Pitch : Networking, Computer Data Cable : Maplin You can get it from CPC also but I can't see anything less than 10m.
MYK-IT Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I had a very long multi-colour reel of this stuff ( at least 25 way) not so long ago, but was binned because i had no use for it!! I've not read the article link in detail, so unsure if the cable you require has any specific technical requirements etc, but could 2 lots of 2 core speaker cable suffice? The PoundShops sell speaker cable in packs of 10m lengths.
apaton Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Could try this, Grey IDC 0.05in Pitch : Networking, Computer Data Cable : Maplin and just split it down to 4 cores. Andy (G7MZC)
mjs_mjs Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 the stuff you used to get on IDE was called ribbon cable i believe.
