teejay Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I'm looking at tidying up and consolidating our plethora of security groups in active directory. What I want to be able to do is scan our network shares to produce a list of security groups used and what folders they apply to. Anyone got any ideas how to do this?
SimAda00 Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 (edited) There is a free program called ShareEnum provided via Microsoft SysInternals, which may do what you need. Sysinternals can be found here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb545027.aspx Edited August 12, 2010 by SimAda00 Adding of Link 1
teejay Posted August 13, 2010 Author Posted August 13, 2010 Thanks for the ShareEnum suggestion, but it doesn't do what I need unfortunately, I need to find any security groups used on any subfolders or files in a share.
