soveryapt Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Ok .. so, there I was, rerouting cables (teachers wanting computer desks moving in their classrooms for more convenience, which is fair enough I guess) and it was nice and sunny outside (well, a bit overcast, but generally sunny) .. It started to drizzle a bit, no biggy, but then FLASH > BANG .. some lightening and thunder followed by a torrential downpour .. that's still going .. the yards look like swimming pools! Summer's officially here obviously!

Andrew_C Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Have a look here for near real time lightning strikes, sorry, it doesn't reach all of the way up Scotland. 1
tazz Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Was up on the flippin' roof at 1pm when it decided to thunder and lightening - get me outta here!!
broadcaststorm Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 And would you believe it, the village is flooded! Lets just hope my shop is not under 7 feet of water tomorrow!
SteveBentley Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I blame the organisers of the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival - organising an outdoor beer festival was just asking for it to pee down for the duration!
creese Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I blame the organisers of the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival - organising an outdoor beer festival was just asking for it to pee down for the duration! Rubbish, it's the Bristol Balloon Fiesta.
