I need to install some kind of Virtualization software on my home computer (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit) primarily for testing Server 2008, Linux ISO's, etc. VMWare Player and Virtualbox seem to be the names that keep on cropping up as recommendations.

Any others (or thoughts on which of the 2 above would be more suitable)?

TIA

You know you have vmware enterprise partner in your sig!

He also has Oracle! :p

... VirtualBox is far better than the 'free' offerings from VMWare too.

Just to buck the trend here I'm a VMware Player dude :) Both me and my tech use it for our test VMs and its great :) I did look at buying VMWare desktop at one point but decided I'd try and stick with free (lack of snapshots was a bit annoying when playing with MSI's) but never got on with thinking any harder or costing it up at Edu pricing.
