Why are my Moodle 2.0s not displaying properly?

This has been bugging me for a week or two and I wondered if you techo people could advise? Since the "changeover" my own Moodle 2.0 test site and the official Moodle 2.0 test site Moodle QA Testing Site display at my school as if they are not connecting to the theme. My school uses IE8 but I have checked in compatability mode and it doesn't make a difference. I know these sites work in IE8 at home and they worked fine before the "change" so it has to be something to do with the filtering - or else something within my school, but I can't imagine what. Anyone have any idea so I can get it fixed please?
