Fujitsu Siemens Amilo!

I have been trying to sort out my mum's laptop for a very long time now!!

 

It only will take Windows Vista Operating Systems! Tried to put 7 on it - no drivers compatible can be found, neither can I find drivers for Windows XP! What shall I do?? At the moment I am re-formatting it with Vista Business!! I know not recommended but better than a dead laptop with nothing but the black sea showing on the screen.

We had one here and also struggled with drivers for it, last ditch attempt was to point it at our driver packs initially downloaded for XP, guess what it found all the drivers. Search for driver packs download/extract and point win 7 on the amilo to the directory. Even found the sound drivers which were the ones we were stuck on.

Try to google for a xp or win 7 version of these drivers.

have you tried the vista drivers in 7 as arnt they basically the same drivers?

As sted says, use the Vista Drivers in Windows 7 they should work fine... BUT it has to be the 32bit version of Windows 7 as the 64Bit requires 64bit signed drivers.
