Open Office GPOs

[Chuckster]

My school is thinking of making a move away from MS Office to OO as a way of saving £££s.

My query is, is there any ADM templates about that can help lock down OO a fair bit and set things such as dictionary to English (UK) as the default or turn on capitalisation on a letter that is a new sentence/paragraph?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This may give you an idea how this can be achieved

This article may help too. Although it explains how to virtualise OpenOffice using App-V a lot of the steps still apply to deploying it via Active Directory.

See the attached to this, I came across it when I was tidying my downloads folder.

Thanks Matthew. This is exactly what I was after. I will be deploying OO to a few stations to see how it goes on the curriculum side. If all goes according to plan, I will implement a site-wide installation.

One thing, though, is OO compatible with SIMS.Net?

It isn't unfortunately.
