MSI Notebook Keys for number 5 and 6 not working

I'm working on an MSI M662 notebook and find that the 5/% and 6/^ keys are dead. I'm no notebook expert and would welcome suggestions as to how to go to get them working - or is it a dead duck?

may i bring your attention to this... a new keyboard Amazon.co.uk: Used and New: keyboard, English (UK) for MSI M662-C1712VHP (1034-SKU33). hope this is of some help. I suspect the keyboard you have has expired.

I'd agree, if it doesn't work at all it's dead (even after X number of reboots, etc).

You could try plugging in a USB keyboard to make sure that it's the keyboard and not the mainboard... Don't want to go spending money on a new keyboard to find that it's not actually the keyboard...
