Laptop won't turn on

Hello everyone,

 

I have a advent laptop that gradually has shut down and now I cant get any power or life at all. I

 

It was working for a short while on safe mode but it packed up to. There are no power lights on anymore.

 

I've tried taking the battery out and power and holding the button for 30 seconds but this did not work.

 

Can anyone suggest something?

Have you checked that the PSU is supplying power (use a multimeter for this) and have you tried with only the mains power applied (i.e. no battery)? It could also be that the power connector on the laptop is damaged and hence the battery won't be getting charged and there will be no power to run the laptop.

Thank everyone. So I buy a new charger, and I did a battery reset, it showed some life then turned back off...sometimes this works and sometimes it doesent.
