acb_ Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 OK, here's this week's mystery. Our sixth form herbert has been out on his travels, checking suites. I just got an email inviting me to VNC into a specific machine. When I did, this is what I saw. Both would become active, and move round the screen in response to mouse input. But neither would respond to Ctrl-Alt-Del. What do you make of it?

He's a year 12 who works for us two afternoons a week, very gifted little script kiddie he is, but he tends to go pink when under pressure, and he remained pasty white when reporting it... do you run a modified msgina.dll? I just thought it was an interesting sight and one you don't see every day, so I decided to share it. I'm a sharing kinda gal :mrgreen:
john Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Sorry I don't get it, is it just the normal Win 2K logon screen or am I missing something? (apprt from the ctlrdelalt command doenst work). Any I think christopher needs punishing just in case he has been fiddling
webman Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 The unlock screen only comes up if you're loggedon and have locked your machine; and the logon screen only comes up if you're not logged on at all The two screens shouldn't ever be on the same screen at the same time. Normally.
