jsnetman Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I know that they have a problem with the 6.4 version. It won't install for me either, tech support at ABTutor said it was because they included several languages into 6.4. 1
lionsl2005 Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 ohh thats the problem ab tutor it self ???????????????????
box_l Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Try editing the msi with ORCA MSI Editor and removing all but 1033 from languages. go to view---> summary information, set languages to 1033 and then save. This has fixed a few failed installs for me. BoX
ricki Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Contact them they are very good and will talk you though how to set it op and create a mst file to customize the install during deloyment. Also dont forget to check the share permissions where the files are being deployed from. http://www.abtutor.com/ActiveKB/questions/78/How+to+automate+the+installation+of+AB+Tutor+Control Richard

Embazzy Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 You could always try to get a pre 6.4 install and then do a Group Policy install with that , when all is setup run the 6.4.3 setup on the control machine and update the clients by client maintenance. i know it is a bit of a mess around but it saves individaul installs Embazzy
