sippo Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 A member of staff has asked for one of a budget of £100 excl VAT. Will probably need an SD card included if possible. Any recommendations.
sted Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 avoid kodak as it needs software thats awful if you arnt an admin id try and find a lower end canon powershot 1
ICT_GUY Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I just bought another little canon compact that seems great for the price. Canon PowerShot A1100 IS Digital Camera - Silver 2.5: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo works well and takes pretty decent snaps. 1
danrhodes Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Excellent little camera and cheap for what it does - Canon IXUS 80 Silver Digital Camera - Tesco.Direct
Pete10141748 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I gave one of these to each class teacher last year: Samsung ES15 Digital Camera - Black 2.5 inch LCD: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo Had no complaints about them, easy to navigate menus, good quality pictures, and cheap!
K.C.Leblanc Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 We've got a few Canons here, they all seem to do what it says on the tin. I've got a Fuji S1500, probably not what's you're after since you can make quite a few adjustments, it's trying to be a baby SLR. However it's a great little camera.
sidewinder Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Cant go wrong with Canons, genuinely decent compact cameras and no stupid software needed to install Perhaps the Powershot is a bit better than the Ixus in school situations, looks more durable and less desirable
Pyroman Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I gave one of these to each class teacher last year: Samsung ES15 Digital Camera - Black 2.5 inch LCD: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo Had no complaints about them, easy to navigate menus, good quality pictures, and cheap! vote for these, ace cameras
K.C.Leblanc Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I gave one of these to each class teacher last year: ! How many have you got left?
Pete10141748 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Suprisingly, all of them! Not one has been broken or lost! I think that's testmament to the quality of the camera though, the staff love having them and so they take care of them. No teacher can go without one for even a day now, they're busy filling up my file server with photo's of everything the pupils do all day!!
