I have been keeping my eye on WSUS the last couple of months for IE7 and it still has not come down. I know from reading the forums that some of you have said it appeared. As far as i can tell WSUS is working fine and pulls other downloads down. I have mine set to pull down Service packs and critical security patches etc, which i though IE7was.

Any suggestions?

Not sure if this is relevant, but you can also block the installation of IE7 via Group Policy. Might be worth a check to see if this is enabled.

*Note to self, must configure such block, as I'm holding off on IE6 for the forseable future at work ;)

Check your selected catagories. I think there is a new one for IE7

IE7 is definitely categorised as an Update Rollup, so that's why it hasn't appeared. I have deployed IE7 using WSUS without any issues.

The only other recommendation I can offer, is download the IE7 ADM files here. IE7 has quite a few more policies than IE6 has. The main policy which is useful is to disable the IE7 startup screen and go straight to the home page.

Microsoft apparently will be deploying a new IE7 version to all customers next month. Take a look here
