alexknight Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Hi Where do i find the data on who logged onto a worksation on a particular day? I have a workstation in our computer suite one and wanted to know who logged onto it yesterday. thanks Alex
danIT Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 you could perhaps have a look at the local profile that is created when the user logged on, last modified etc..
Ric_ Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 If you audit logins the security log would be a good place to look
alexknight Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 The next question is where do I navigate to to get the security logs?? Alex
ChrisH Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 They are part of the event viewer. Right click My Computer > Manager > Expant Event Viewer.
webman Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Start > Run. Eventvwr.msc If you want to connect to another machine on the network, right-click "Event Viewer (Local)" in the left pane, and click "Connect to another computer ..."
mac_shinobi Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 If there profiles are stored locally when they logon then you can obviously just go to c:\documents and settings and sort there user profiles by date and you will know who logged on by the date ( obviously )
