Apple technician costs..

If we were, for the sake of argument, considering employing a technician with a good knowledge of Apple Macs, and supporting a small Apple network, how much would we be looking at as a salary, ballpark?

What's a standard techy cost? 15/16k? So if it's an apple tech you'd be looking at at least 50k.

We have an Apple techy here, but the college calls him an "Apple Specialist" and pays him £5k more than the rest of us.

That said, he does do the job of a manager of a small network, including apple servers and keeping all the prissy apple loving types happy.

Small network? I sort out the few here for no extra - it's not too difficult. Difficult to answer the question as you'll know from other threads... standard techs range from £10k-£25k, NMs from £15k-£40k+!

 

I think you'll agree that's quite a range (and pretty accurate)

^^ This (seriously). Along with the NM, I manage a small Apple Mac network (around 40 Mac's and an Apple server) in addition to the rest of the network of over 520 PCs and I don't get paid any extra to supplement my meagre wage. I would say £15/£16K absolute max.
