Vista Leaked

The Inquirer is reporting that Vista has been leaked on to various warez FTP and torrent sites. It's even appeared before being released on the MSDN subscribers download site. So presumably this is an internal leak at MS?

Not much use without a code though. Is it likely to work with the RC1 code? I'd doubt it as the Beta codes didn't work with RC1

Cheers, I did *ahem* investigate it on a site I know and there is already a "Vista RTM activation crack" available already. 8O

Yup, spotted that one as well. Bypasses the activation process for Vista so you can enter basically any key and it'll activate.

I know that the global release is Jan 30th, but when are us in the Microsoft School's Agreement likely to be able to get it? I can give Ramesys a call on Monday, but maybe someone on here already knows.

Worth a look. I also (I have to confess) bought the "Hacking the X Box" book whilst a member of a LUG at one time and actually installed Linux onto one of my XBoxes, but then got more interested in Linux for PS2. Have you tried that yet? Works quite well. Another reason to buy a PS3 (Yellow Dog).

Ok, Err... a friend downloaded this. It certainly works alright. Already has 2 critical updates Probably be around 10 by the official release on Jan 30th.

A lot of the icons have been changed too - I think I preferred the Beta ones.

continuing with this tack. My friend is wondering if the activation hack also deals with genuine advantage so that you can get the updates and if it then extends to gadgets and ultimate extras.

I don't think there are any WGA checks for Vista. It uses the built in Activation system, which is hacked.
