Hello everyone,

went onto facebook last night and read a few teachers status's about 5 6 and 7 hours upwards on a laptop doin assessment data input etc (and then obv facebook) and using them during the school day too, does anyone have a policy or guidance document with regards to

using the laptop for a long time i.e... eye tests, posture, glare, repetitive strain, recomended time before taking a break etc?

Would be really helpful if some one could share. :)

Thanks.

Steve,

There is loads of stuff out there, and i think the county should have training courses on it. But its basically 1hour of work 10 mins break doing something not at a screen.

If its prolonged work it should be with a proper keyboard and mouse.

also, if they use a computer for an hour or more every day, they should have a Workstation assessment.

It is all really rather boring  but someone has to do it....:bored:

Hope it helps,
