Under School Agreement 3, Exchange server standard is £40 per year, enterprise is £144. Exchange CALs £2.75 per seat NOT per user so no, I don't think it's overly expensive. Under SA benefits on School agreement you also get Antigen for MS Exchange for free - but then, you do need it!
