Hi all,

We've currently got a Canon ir 6800n which is supposed to be good for around 2.5mill copies. Ours has done 3.2mill so is probably due for replacement! It's one of these - Canon-ImageRunner-C6800. Has anyone recently bought a large copier along these lines? Does anyone have any suggestions? I am investigating it as the person who would normally do this is off for a while, so I don't really know what I am doing. Any help appreciated!

Thank you

Stuart

What volume split is there - ie. mono and colour volumes?

We get through probably a million mono a year here, but only 50k colour a year - so it worked out most effective to get 2 machines for us. One pure mono and one smaller colour machine.

Toshiba high end kit is great, ours is up to about 1 million now and never misses a beat, just set it up on the network for our reprographics lady to be able to send jobs straight to it now which will save a great amount of time for her and ensure a quick efficent re-print job :)

TOSHIBA TEC United Kingdom Imaging Systems GmbH is the site and if you want mono only you want something like the E-Studio 855 (they do smaller than that), that is an 85ppm machine in mono

If you want a mono / colour machine they do a E-Studio 6530/6530 Pro those are 75ppm Black and 65 ppm Full Colour

I love our Toshiba kit and am a key advocate for them they just never seem to go wrong for us and when they need servicing or we have niggles our local firm is very handy and helpful.

As you'd be looking at 2 machines, I can recommend the Ricoh MP7001 (70ppm mono) and the MPC2800 (28ppm colour). Your numbers are very similar to ours, and these 2 machines run very well for us.
