Hi peeps,

Need to know what version of FMS you are running, and which version of SIMS you have alongside it. :ear:

I think we've been a version out for a while and after last nights upgrade from August 09 to Autumn Update (Autumn Main is wrapped in i guess) i think we're further out of date now.

My FMS shows 6.120 but i think August 09 should have had 6.124 with it, and Autumn Main brings it to 6.128.

Checked SupportNet but couldn't easily find an answer except that 6.124 may have been pulled due to some error?

I've logged a case and probably just need it to be pushed to me by SOLUS, but as always a Heads Up from EG brings peace of mind. I don't see why it wasn't just available by SOLUS as previous ones were.

It could be because i seem to have skipped over Autumn Main that this is happening.

Right, going to go look for the SOLUS 3 manual so maybe i can push some updates out in a hurry while i wait for UK to wake up :D

cheers MD, useful to know it wont cause a problem. i'm just concerned that i missed an update when i did august 09, and now have missed another because we skipped Autumn Main and went straight to Autumn Update.

7.128 shouldn't be available yet except in Beta format for UAT etc. It's due out by COB on 31/03/2010.

I had to decline UAT on this upgrade cos of having to pick up work from an absent colleague here. Pity, as I was in on testing the first build of the new NovaT type reporting. Missing the meeting(s) meant I could not see or test the improvements suggested for this new facility.

I know!

I have been involved since Chris Sherwood first raised it at at one of the Software Consultation Meetings.

I was one of the experienced Timetablers at the very first meeting when the specs were first discussed as well as attending the meeting to test the first build! :D

Well i wish there was just one place to find this information out, because the link i posted earlier implies that 6.128 was part of Autumn Main.

As for this Nova-T testing, is that linked to testing of the FMS beta or are we on a tangent?

Following the Software Consultation meeting a special Consultative Group was set up which is what I attended. I missed the final meeting that would pass the project as fit for inclusion in the Spring (March 31st) Release.

It would then be tested again in the UAT for the Spring Release - which again I could not attend. The BETA is the same (or similar!) setup that UAT uses.

I am assuming that the Spring Release is v7.128 as this is the one which follows the Autumn Upgrade which was v7.126 (as opposed the the Autumn Main Release which was v7.124).

There could have been another after Autumn Upgrade, but I am unaware of it's numbering if there was!

You know what the topic of this thread is right???

I'm talking about FMS version numbers which are behind main SIMS.

6.128 is the listed latest version of FMS, unless i'm massively misreading the page.

Anyway, it's sorted now. I've been told by Capita to download an ISO that will update my FMS to 6.124, which it did in a matter of minutes. so all sorted now.

:o)

Ahhhhhhhhhhh................

That's senility setting in again then ................... :)

Then again I always thought that the FMS Versions and the SIMS Versions were always the same - apart from the fact that FMS is obviously still in Version 6 format as opposed to SIMS being 7.
