tmcd35 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Has anyone heard anything about a new version of Fronter being launched over the summer/early autumn? Just been told about this today and curious to find out more - screenshots or something. Been told it's had a face lift and will look a whole lot better than it does currently, cant be hard! Ment to be easier to use, etc.
leco Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 AFAIK Fronter are working on a number of projects - one of which is on-line reporting to parents. I don't know of any wholesale "new look" though. They have come away from the two new versions a year scenario and have been making changes throughout 2009. Interesting times ahead maybe?
tmcd35 Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Heard this from my Deputy Head who intern got the news from a Fronter expert at the LEA. SIMS have told us they have been working with Fronter on transfering assessment data.

Face-Man Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 A couple of years ago I saw a demo of what they were calling Fronter X which was a single button for a menu system (nicked from the iphone) which looked very smooth (especially considering web 1.0 current version). They are also due to have a new page tool similar to igoogle making drag and drop frames in a page a possibility. As for speed... dial up is quicker...

leco Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 From 1st March there is to be a new Support structure. Apparently issues will then be reported directly from inside your Fronter installation, a new tab for Admin.
