Travel Insurance

Anyone got a recommendation for a travel insurance company that will cover you for adventure/extreme sports. I’ll be going to the U.S in March and we might parachute and go white water rafting.

 

The only two I’ve used before are Options (currently not excepting new people so bit worried about that) and STA (web site currently down).

The Post Office used to do a policy that allowed you to add extreme sports on for an extra tenner. I used it a few years ago as I wanted to add scad diving onto my basic policy. Don't know if they still do it though or what sports it covers.

 

EDIT: Covers white water rafting to Cat 2. No mention of throwing yourself out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft though although there is a number you can acll to see if they will cover other stuff.

I've always used Direct Travel. Their prices have always seemed good value given the cover. I've never had to make a claim, but when I have spoken to them regarding my cover they have always been really helpful.

Last time I threw meself out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft I bought insurance from the operator on the day, the place in the U.S might offer the same but it would be nice to know i'm covered before going. I'll send an email to enquire.

I wish - think I will have to save that until I win the lotto if I ever do.
