Can anyone quote me on the top 15" MacBook Pro, or suggest where to try for education (school order) pricing etc with accessories/software please?

Held off wiating to see if anything was announced last night, but will now buy one. The schools first Mac!

Westwood Associates managed to source me some 'nearly new' iMacs not so long ago. I believe that they can get other Apple products too. It depends if that's something you want to consider?

No disrespect to Simon or Mandy, but I would always recommend you go to an Apple Solutions Expert such as AT, Toucan, Solutions Inc (Ask for Jo Dowd), KRCS (ask for Glyn Rozier), etc as the after sales expertise they have is fantastic and so educationally focused. You will get competitive prices and if they are a few quid more it is worth it for the extra support and expertise. The cheapest price is not always best value.

Thanks for all the advice! It currently looks like Apple Education Store is cheapest!?

That might be the case, but I found out yesterday when trying to place an order with the Education Store directly that there is a minimum order value of £5,000!

If your order doesn't meet the minimium spend you are simply redirected to a Apple Education Solutions Expert instead.

I do agree with you there if you require new kit... I use GBM.

When I was looking for some Macs the other year I got a cracking price from Jigsaw :) I didn't buy them in the end but the price was very good and I was pleased with the advice and pricing from them. I have bought other items from them though and they are a good firm.
