Sun Global Desktop needs Remote Desktop Enabled

Obvious (once you know but you need to enable Remote Desktop in Control Panel-System-Remote on the school target machine(s).

 

I've asked Westfield to get this bit of information included in the email with username/password allocation

We set this in group policy for all our computers:

 

Comp Config -> Admin Templates -> Windows Components/Terminal Services -> Allow users to connect remotely using Terminal Services -> Enabled

If the user isn't an administrator of that workstation, you either need to add your staff group to the list of remote desktop users of that machine, or the specific users you want to be able to access it remotely.
