So, if you get a chance take a look and let me know if you spot any errors and just what you think generally. Any feedback much appreciated. mossj Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I like the design and content... But following suggestions: Favicon, metadata needs changing. Add some news, I hate seeing empty pages. Just to be sure run it through browsershots (Check Browser Compatibility, Cross Platform Browser Test - Browsershots) Oh and either remove or change "sysman_mk" at the bottom, maybe to sysmans real name.... Just a nickname on a schoolwebsite doesn't look 100% professional. 1

Guest Guest Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) Slideshow hangs over to the right by a couple of pixels, and to the left by 1 pixel on Firefox 3.5.7 Font is horrible for the bits that say " School is open as usual " etc. Top menu looks slightly odd. I think its because the font is quite large and bold compared to everything else, set on a reg background. Generally theres too many different font sizes and styles. For example where it says "Click image to download latest edition of Kingsway News" the font is so small that when the italic is applied it makes the font look blocky. and doesnt validate http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kingsway.leics.sch.uk%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0 Otherwise its very good.As it stands it one of the better school sites ive seen. Yes I may play about with the menu fonts a bit as I am not 100% happy with them. Thanks, I will give that a test to see how it looks. I am wary of putting too much red on the page, I hate red and too much looks awful (and of course all the schools I am making websites for have a real bright red as their colour!)
