Ok we need to revamp our website

 

Welcome to The Ockendon School Web Site

 

 

We currently use Serco's VLE, the school want to change to Moodle

 

I sort of decided that we should use Joomla. So what I would like to do is to setup it so both Mloodle and the Joomla pages are themed the same and intergrated together

 

Like this one for example

 

Joomla part of it (Can tell by the icon picture)

In your example they are both the edugeek moodle and joomla packages fella.

Ok so their site is not integrated then?

 

The question was how did they integrate their system together?

 

Has I thought you can somehow use the same themeing and import the moodle system into joomla, if you get what I mean

 

So its just theming they are using, that they luckly found two of the same themes

 

 

 

How can you say the link before is the same I linked you too, looks totally different!

Would there be a need for students to have their own login for anything in joomla?

 

Not sure what extensions and stuff were putting in, havent really had a look yet, if so how easy what it be to have just one sign in login for both moodle and joomula if we need to?

 

Moodle should be hosting internal at the school, website of course will be hosting at a web host company, would that make a differece? Would like to use active directory for the users

Doesn't look like their sites are integrated. They just seem to have 2 themes the same.

I can't see that you would need students to log into the Joomla Website.

You can use LDAP to get the AD users into Moodle. I don't think (I maybe wrong) that you would be able to integrate users from Moodle and Joomla if 1 is hosted internally and 1 externally.

Joomla can also use LDAP imo
