machin05 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 This is mine Crikey - how many screens you got running that?
localzuk Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Crikey - how many screens you got running that? Just the three. Don't think I'm getting fancy stuff though - all 3 are ones that were taken out of classrooms (so they each have their own little foibles), and one is driven by a USB -> VGA adapter.
machin05 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm using Windows 7's wallpaper slideshow feature. Keeps things upbeat and interesting! It cycles through particular objects of desire. At this very moment I have this image keeping me inspired to earn more money... http://www.lordswoodgirls.co.uk/files/desktop1.jpg
CAM Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm guessing it is this: Stardock.com - Your Edge In Software Edit: Doh, beat me to it. I missed Program Manager. Now it's back!

machin05 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Does it go up to 11? You can't limit this thing by numbers! It runs on pure emotion...
Edu-IT Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 How many is that DanW? Really making me want dual screens at home now...
DanW Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 How many is that DanW? Really making me want dual screens at home now... It's 12 virtual screens (spaces) on OS X perfect for splitting things up and keeping things separate!!

6Foot2 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 It's 12 virtual screens (spaces) on OS X perfect for splitting things up and keeping things separate!! Ok so it isn't 12 virtual desktops but Sys Internals 'Desktops.exe' will allow for the creation of four virtual screens.
SpuffMonkey Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Way to organised! Alas - that's just my desktop - rest of my life is a shambolic wreck...
Jon Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Here's mine - "Fences" roolz Is it just me or does this remind anybody else of windows 3.1...
machin05 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Nice amp! Take it you're a guitarist then? Yeah, I give it a go.. Shameless band website plug... How about yourself? This are my weapons of choice... http://musikaster.com/shop/images/Fender%2072%20Telecaster%20Deluxe%20Electric%20Guitar.jpg and http://www.taylorguitars.com/Guitars/Shared/Images/Models/110e-5.jpg
LosOjos Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Yeah, I give it a go.. Shameless band website plug... How about yourself? This are my weapons of choice... Indeed I do, and as we're showing gear pics, my main weapons (though I've gathered a few now...) are: Gibson Les Paul http://www.rockpalace.com/en/gfx_productcode/74806/2/Gibson-Les-Paul-Standard-2008-Desert-Burst.jpg Blackstar HT-5 Mini Stack http://www.hartnollguitars.co.uk/products/Amplification/4534/4534-18196.jpg

How does that Blackstar sound? I've had a play on their Artisan range which sounds beautiful, but is a touch pricey, and I'd ideally like a twin channel amp with lush overdrive.
LosOjos Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I can't knock the HT-5, it's got a really nice warm tube sound to it, my dad has the combo and there isn't a hell of a lot of difference between the two to be honest. Only thing I would say is that it's not the most versatile of amps, i.e. it has no on-board effects at all (not even reverb), but I use pedals anyway so that doesn't bother me, it sounds great Notice on your site you're gigging in Brum next month, might pop down for a look (any excuse to see a couple of bands!)
