Moodle: Global Hiding of Emails?

Hi,

 

I've had a look around for this but no luck so far:

 

I want to be able to globally set that email addresses are not visible. I can do it user by user, but would prefer that pupils cannot see staff email addresses at all on moodle.

 

Anyone got an idea?

Have you looked under Site Administration/Users/Permissions/Define Roles?

 

There is options to remove the abilty of each group to view profiles etc.

This could stop them looking at other pupils and teachers profiles to gain email addresses etc.

If you have the original CSV file that you imported everyone with then you can set the maildisplay field to 0 and re-import it selecting modify and that should do it.

Thanks to both - as Gary was first I did it his way and it worked, but the second might have been useful too...
